We are bound by a professional code of conduct when disclosing private and confidential patient information. It is not ethical to provide an employees’ medical history to his/her employer. The basic screening results such as spirometry, audio, and vision screening results are provided to the employer. The general physical examination and patient information which is disclosed to us such as previous illness, disease, HIV Status is not disclosed. An outcome of fitness based on your physical examination will be specified in General terms as fit, not fit, fit with restriction or temporarily unfit. The patient must sign a waiver of confidentiality drafted by his company on a company letterhead for us to release any personal information to the employers should it be required.
